I didn’t write in books until joining Close Reads, and especially when we attempted The Faerie Queene in Book Club. I still don’t write in my books much, but I keep a notebook close to hand and write down quotes and such as a record of my reading life now.
I love writing in books. Also, I am the person who would write “don’t be a ninny” in an Emily Dickerson book. I feel seen, marginalia, I feel seen.
